GLIvyN Is Now on Facebook!
If you are already a member of Facebook, you can now find us by logging in, searching Groups for "glivyn" and then making a request to join. (Or you can go directly to the group page by clicking here.)
The GLIvyN Facebook group is "closed," which means that, while anyone can view the group's profile, to join and view other members you must have a Facebook account and be approved by the group's administrator (or invited to join). All current members of GLIvyN will be approved (be sure to provide the name and email address you use for GLIvyN for verification purposes). In addition, new members (or referrals from members) may request to join the group, but they will be subject to our usual membership approval process.
And if you don't yet have a Facebook account, but you've been thinking about jumping on the social networking bandwagon, this is a great opportunity to sign up, connect with your GLIvyN colleagues online, put faces to names, and make new "pre-screened" connections that extend beyond our group. Facebook is free to join, so you have nothing to lose (except your valuable free time as you become more and more addicted!).
Some interesting facts: Facebook started at Harvard and then was expanded to the Ivies before its explosive growth began. Facebook currently has more than 400 million users worldwide.
