Oh my god, Joyce, you're an anthem freak! I didn't know about the two anthems you mentioned (Japanese and South African). Chuck has mentioned that the Lexapro movie (not currently shown on my blog, but will come round again) uses the national anthem of India. Do we sense a pattern here? Someday I hope to annotate the movies with info like that.

Maybe organized religions balkanize monotheists the same way as nationalism does and Chuck thinks they're counterproductive to the professed goal of unity under God. Oh wait, I'm sounding like Camille Paglia.
